There are a number of tables of data. By default, the Places index is displayed as the table view. Others may be selected from the drop-down list on the Toolbar when in any window which displays a table.
The Caption bar shows a position in the hit list whose meaning varies according to the data in the table, as explained under Caption bars.
The columns in a table may be rearranged by dragging the column header into a new position. The data may also be grouped by dragging the column header into the grouping panel at the top of the table, a powerful facility for restructuring the data in the tables.
