Ctrl + S will produce the Search form for searching the translation. Searches may also be launched from the Search menu or by right-clicking in the Searches window

Searches are not case sensitive. By default, a search will find entries which contain all the terms specified, in whatever order they are specified. So, Sheep Goats would find all entries containing those two words. Specifying terms in this way restricts, or narrows, a search.

To retrieve entries which contain any of the search terms specified, separate them with the | symbol. Thus Sheep|Goats would retrieve all entries containing either word. Specifying alternatives in this way widens a search.

You may also specify that an entry should not contain a particular word by placing the - symbol in front of it. So, -Goats Sheep will retrieve all entries which contain the word Sheep but not the word Goats.

These search types may be combined. For example, -Goats Sheep|Horses will find entries which contain either sheep or horses (or both) but not goats. Combinations can be complex: (Sheep|Goats)-(Sheep Goats) will find all entries with sheep or goats except where both occur within the entry.

The only limitation on such combinations is that you cannot use the - operator on terms which are alternatives. It is not valid to search for -Goats|Sheep, which translates as a search for all entries which contain sheep or not goats. -Goats Sheep is the correct format.
