Administrative units

Domesday Book is the main source of our knowledge of the administrative geography of Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Norman England. Without Domesday, the broad framework would be known, but little of the vast amount of detail which Domesday supplies on almost every aspect of ancient territories and administrative units.
