Kesteven

Latin, Chetsteven.

Kesteven is a district of South Lincolnshire which, together with Holland, had probably formed the Danish borough of Stamford. In the tenth century, Stamford entered a confederation with the Danish borough of Lincoln to form what became the county of Lincoln in the eleventh century.
